Kids Own Worship - Sunday Christian Education for Children

Dear Parents,
Your family is important to our church. And we want to support your role as spiritual leader to your child.
In our effort to provide the highest quality Christian education, we use Kid?s Own Worship Curriculum. This program makes worship and Bible learning fun and uses a variety of active experiences to help students learn in the ways they learn best.
Kid?s Own Worship also helps children of all ages ?weave faith into life? by applying the Bible to their lives throughout every week. And with this curriculum, students walk through the Bible over the course of three years. Please see the chart on the next page for an overview of what your child will be learning during this season of Kid?s Own Worship.
The Fall Season begins on Rally Day, September 12th! We realize how important it is for you and your children to know and build relationships with their leaders each week. Our leaders have graciously committed to a full season of Kid?s Own Worship (approximately 13 weeks). If you?d like to help out this Fall, Winter or Spring, please give us a call at 973-539-3481.
Our Christian Education program will be held from 9-10 AM. For the first half of Kid?s Own Worship, children in Pre-K through 7th grade will participate in a kid-friendly, engaging, and dynamic worship service in Fellowship Hall (?The Big Room?). For the second half, the kids will move to classrooms by age group where they will engage in creative and diverse activities to reinforce the morning?s story.
We want to partner with you in your child?s Christian education. As a parent, you are the most important spiritual teacher for your child. Research shows that the most powerful influence on children?s faith development is the conversations about faith that take place in the home. By using the resources that are part of Kid?s Own Worship and FaithWeaver, you can make a huge contribution to your child?s Christian growth by leading activities and discussions that help make connections and apply what?s learned at church to daily life.
- Every week your child will receive a take-home paper that includes ideas for family discussions and activities that will help cement what your child learns at church.

Internet updates at www.faithweaver.com/teachertips.asp (just click on ?HomeConnect?) for links on the Internet that families can explore together to reinforce weekly Bible Points. These ideas are created specifically to help families grow closer as they grow in relationship with Jesus!
All Kids Own Worship resources?from infants through 7th grade?explore the same Bible story, making it easier for you to help your family grow in faith together.
